Music Spotting: Vampire Weekend

Written by Casey

Vampire Weekend’s new album cover for “Modern Vampire’s of the City”.

Monday morning Rostam Batmanglij, the guitar player of the Indie-Rock band Vampire Weekend posted a link to his website which featured Vampire Weekend’s new album cover called Modern Vampires of the City. The cover is beautiful, melancholic and dark with a view of a vampire infested New York City. The font is identical to their first two albums Vampire Weekend and Contra. I like the repition, it is classic and a very smart decision in keeping the continuity even when the artwork has changed

I think we have all waited long enough, (three years but whose counting?) for Vampire Weekend to have a new album. Personally I can’t wait till it comes out.

The album will be released on May 6 (UK) / May 7 (US) via XL Recordings.
