Thank goodness evolution got rid of these.

I’m feeling something vintagey rolling around my veins today… I have this urge to wear yellowed lace and dream of a time when JNCO jeans, and overalls with only one buckle done were cool. Naturally that brings me to perhaps the most influential shoe of the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. The Steve Madden Wedge Slide Thing.

This wedge found it’s way onto the feet of high school and college students everywhere, and eventually the little tootsies of cool soccer moms donned head-to-toe in GAP khakis, fitted crew neck tees, and frosted lipgloss.
