A Flawless Summer Look

Written by Bryce

The idea of putting makeup on when you wake up in 80+ degrees is often discouraging, but this simple routine will keep you glowing,  cool, and flawless.

This easy summer makeup routine takes less than 5 minutes, gives a natural glow, and even protects from the sun. Voila! Easy is so chic.

1. Wipe down time! If you don’t have time for a full shower or face wash, don’t worry– these PONDS Towelettes will cleanse you of any wild gunk your skin might’ve accumulated from sleeping, living, or just existing. The texture of the towelettes exfoliates very gently, so you start with a clean, smooth palette. Also, they’re mega refreshing and when the heat and humidity are piling back, I’ll take all the refreshments I can get. Available .

2. Get the right tools. If you haven’t already heard of Sigma Brushes, get in the know. My MUA (that’s beauty speak for “makeup artist”) friends swear by them, and for good reason. They make unusual brushes like this angled kabuki, which I find is perfect for wiggling light-coverage foundations into all the nooks and crannies of the face. It’s the best brush I’ve ever used for using foundation as a concealer, too, so that makes it a #1 hit for summer. Check it out, and the rest of the Sigma Beauty collection at B-Glowing.

3. The hot weather foundation to kick the butt of all the others. Foundation and heat typically don’t mix– you know, that weird melting off the face syndrome that plagues so many women who ALSO are afflicted with orange-jawline syndrome. No more. Buxom Beauty launched foundations that are light, buildable (you know, for cooler seasons), and have SPF 30 built right now. I will tell you flat out that I’ve been wearing this foundation for 5 days straight, loving it, and using it as a very light concealer as well to give the I’m-not-at-all-made-up (but I really am) appearance. Obsessed. It’s available here, and if you’re wondering, my shade is “Dim The Light.”

4. Long hair, don’t care. Weather and elements can make normally tame hair a little too wild (especially if you have wavy or curly hair like mine), but I’ve been loading up on L’Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil like a thirsty hair troll. Is that a thing? Whatever, it is now, and my hair thanks me and the guys in the L’Oreal labs for it. It’s full of avocado and grape seed oils, but magically doesn’t weigh hair down– it’s basically weightless. Check it out here.
