Fellatio You Never Expected

Written by Bryce

Thanks, China.  You always pull through for us.  This time you discovered that over two thirds of the female short-nosed bat population engages in fellatio, or blow jobs.  The females enjoyed longer lasting sex as a result (hey, even a fruit bat’s gotta get some).  Before this, only humans and bonobo chimps were thought to partake in B.J.s.

Scientists at the Guangdong Entomological Institute in China found that female bats are enthusiastic when it comes to penis licking, and a reported 70 percent perform fellatio on their mates.

Science magazine reported: “Both sexes groomed each other during courtship. But then came the shocker.

“After the male mounted the female from behind, she bent over and began licking his penis.”  Video evidence below.

The research was astounding: for every second of fellatio, the male could perform a whopping six seconds longer during intercourse.  Boy bats that got a little head action lasted about 4 minutes on average, while their un-sucked counterparts could only last about 2 minutes.

A primatologist at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia commented by saying, “The finding on fellatio in bats is exciting news.”  You don’t say!

Frans de Waal, a primatologist at Emory University in Atlanta and an expert on bonobo chimpanzees, said: “The finding of fellatio in bats is exciting news.”

Scientists will be researching more, but Paul Vasey of the University of Lethbridge in Canada fears that the bats might just be doing it for fun.
