In a continuation of my being a fan of this whole pictures that are paintings that look like photos phenomenon, and Steven Chapman may have damn well perfected it. The intricacy of his depiction of the human form is stunning, with a story behind the eyes of each subject that one yearns to explore. While this selection of hipster-y shirtless & tattooed fools is stunning, it’s only the surface. He does cheeseburgers, little green army men and more abstract ish equally as well.
