Accessorizing 101

Written by Maura

Of course I love me a sweet summer dress, great fitting pair of jeans, or a super cute top..but sometimes it’s the details that make the outfit. I’m talking accessories–jewelry, and shoes, and shades, oh my! Accessories are a cheap and easy way to make your outfits feel new and different no matter how many times you’ve worn that same t-shirt and jeans ensemble. First up..jewelry. Now jewelry can get very expensive very quickly, and you really have to know what you are looking for. If you just want to spice up your outfit I suggest going on the more inexpensive side. Perhaps something like this 24K Gold Overlay Leaf Pendant from Buy.com. It’s only $24.99 and has free shipping(bonus!) and is funky enough to spice up a little V-neck or dress. And p.s. how freaking cool–they dip a real leaf in gold, so every necklace is a little different.

Shoes are a tricky one, there are so many different styles and occasions. For a great pair of sandals, that have a bit of trendiness that is not over the top, I suggest Free People. These have cute little beaded detailing that I love, and they are on sale so how can you go wrong?
