Yum Alert: Mocha Almond Butter

And here I am thinking almond butter couldn’t get any better! How wrong am I? I’m trying this mocha almond butter ASAP! Image and recipe via Edible Perspective.


Makes 1 1/4 cups

  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons + 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin unrefined coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2-3 teaspoons coconut sugar or sucanat [optional]
  • 1/8 – 1/4 teaspoon salt
