Refinery29 reported on a new line of pretty hot looking sunglasses by the design team Studio Swine, made up of recent grads Azusa Murakami and Alexander Groves. Aesthetically, I was down to wear these neutral, interestingly shaped & suitably quirky shades. Until… I kind of got grossed out by the fact that their shaping was made out of HUMAN HAIR. The hair is bound with natural resin, the frames are completely biodegradable, and the the weaving of darker & lighter strands makes killer tortoiseshell designs… but let me reiterate…. HUMAN HAIR.
