Yum Alert: How to make a PROPER Whiskey Sour

Written by Ashley

Sweet & Sour Mix = GROSS.

I’m a huge NON-fan of using gross sweet & sour mix in a whiskey sour cocktail, mostly due to my being the only person in my family & immediate group of friends who will even take part in drinking such a cocktail. If I’m gonna do it (by ‘do it’, i mean mix anything with such a sweet nectar as whiskey), I need to do it right.

How to make a PROPER Whiskey Sour: as told by Over the Hill and On a Roll:

Ingredients

  • 2 Oz of Whiskey Bourbon (You could use Scotch if you prefer)
  • 1 Lemon, all of the juice
  • 2 Tsp Simple Syrup

Directions

Place all of the ingredients plus a hunk of ice into a cocktail shaker. Shake the crap out of it and pour into a glass. garnish with a cherry. Enjoy!
