So I’ve been seeing all this nougat at Whole Foods lately, and it looks really amazing. I think nougat is the new thing, you guys. Isn’t the above pic one of the prettiest foods you’ve seen in a while? I’m really into this candy’s color story. Recipe and image via Cooking Melangery.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup dry cranberries
3/4 cup whole almonds, toasted
3/4 cup whole pistachios, toasted
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup honey
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup water
2 egg whites, room temperature
2 tsp vanilla extract
pink food coloring
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) softened butter
1 tsp rose water
