Yum Alert: Bourbon Peaches

Written by Ashley

Greek yogurt, bourbon and peaches? YES PLZ.

Sweet & savory, like most amazingly southern styled desserts, bourbon peaches may be one of the most incredibly persuasive desserts in the history of desserts that isn’t, in fact, that unhealthy. Pretty fresh peaches, protein rich greek yogurt? Not too shabby.

Bourbon Peaches

Makes about 2 servings // From Craving Chronicles

Ingredients

1 pound (16 ounces) fresh peaches, pitted and quartered*
2 tablespoons bourbon
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons brown sugar
dash of cinnamon
cinnamon sugar pecans, chopped
Non-fat plain Greek yogurt

Directions

Combine peaches, bourbon, water and brown sugar in saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Cook until peaches are tender (and skins peel off, if unpeeled), 5-15 minutes, depending on peach size. Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon. Cool.

Serve topped with yogurt and pecans.
