Your Winter Beauty Routine: Perfected

Written by Bryce

There are a lot of hot trends out there right now, and frankly, we’re not all running around showing off our burgundy sparkle lips or emerald eyeshadow every day. Simply put: we need good, clean makeup for Winter that makes us look fresh and glowy on the random Tuesdays when we’re not all decked out in things with names like “Shimmer Tushy.” So, here’s a little rundown of what every good face needs:

1. Hourglass Foundation. A little really goes a long way, and it comes in a ton of shades to match your getting-paler-by-the-minute complexion. And, if you notice in a month or so that you’re looking particularly washed out, try mixing a dab of this with your daytime moisturizer for lighter coverage on lighter skin. Top it off with a dab of rosy blush and you’ll look like a million bucks in no time flat.

2. A good lipstick. Long lasting lippies are a must, in any shade. Apply one in the morning, like this cheapie by Avon, and you’ll be set for a few hours. Honestly, who has time to apply lipstick more than a couple times a day?

3. Perfect Hair. Scientific studies show that women with curly hair appear younger and more fertile to men. So basically, keep your hair curly in the non-humid-and-perfect-for-curls days of winter and you’ll look cute enough to snag a totally perfect man before you can say “Happy New Year!” Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls keep gentle curls to tightly wound ones in their place without giving the a weird, greasy texture. Now that’s love.

4. A Thick Coat of Mascara. Try a double coat of Elizabeth Arden’s Ceramide Mascara for a gently dramatic look. It’s all you need, really. Good hair, flawless skin, a rougey lip, and bright bold lashes.
