WTF Spotting: Luxe Roadkill Accessories

Written by Elizabeth Mitchell

Artist and taxidermist Reid Peppard is transforming roadkill into wearable fashion…for realz.

We may talk a lot of smack about cats around here, but the truth is, we don’t want to see any animal suffer, not even that evil little squirrel who ran out in the road and got nailed by a car. Ouch! We also don’t want to have dead animals dangling from our arms, our hair or anywhere on our body for that matter. Artist, taxidermist and jeweler Reid Peppard don’t care though. She’s turning roadkill into wearable fashion, in the form of crow clutches, double rat headdresses, fox handbags and so much more. Peep a look at her collection below and tell us if you’d ever wear these entirely ethical and artsy (yet creepy) accessories.
