While her adorabl son was left unsupervised for literal milliseconds & decided to paint his entire body like SUPERMAN (good choice, bro), The Painted Laugh was born, inspired by creator Sonja Landis’ newly found condition. As her son’s laughter grew and -belly-giggles erupted, Landis began to see colors laughter swirling and circling thru the air, filling the room around them… Sonja later found out this was a triggered Synesthestic experience, a neurological condition where one sense (sound) crosses over and initiates a second sense (sight)… it changed the direction of her art and life forever, and ThePaintedLaugh was born. We at TLS have dubbed it Laughter Graffiti , in addition to a piece of art you’ll cherish forever and a day & a fab gift for an anniversary, birthday, graduation or holiday.

    My Love makes me laugh cause his expressions tell a thousand jokes and his antics are far funnier than anyone I know. He and I have our own special way of communicating so sometimes I end up laughing without a word passing between us. I get strange looks quite often when he and I together but I don’t care, it is so worth it.

    My niece is trying to convince her daddy to get her a puppy. “Daddy, can I have a puppy?” “No Juli you can’t have a puppy.” “Please daddy!” “No, i’m sorry Juli you can’t have a puppy.” The planning isn’t over for my niece. The next morning she wakes up and says to her mom “Mommy! I know what to do!” “About what Juli?” ” How to get a puppy! I will ask Santa because he can’t say no.” My sister realizes that she is already defeated by her 3 year old. In an attempt to distract Juli about the puppy she asks what would you like for your upcoming birthday. Juli’s response was “rainbows and pretty stuff, since I can’t have a dog.” Pure genius from a 3 year old. She keeps me laughing everyday.

    I am a tough cookie at times so it takes a lot to make me laugh but not so much to make me smile =)
    it’s usually hard for me to so much of giggle unless there’s something joyful around me
    but with that being said the single most hysterical thing… well persons that makes me laugh are my family and friends. They keep me going for days but now that I’m in college I don’t have too much laughter now.
    It’s all seriousness and much nervousness and tension in the lectures and studios of SCAD-Atl lol, but I <3 it.

    I need this lovely painting! I love the details but I would like to see the strokes of acrylic on the canvas up close in person. This painting was truly done out of love, it captured the true aesthetic of love and admiration in art.
