Chicago is a city with the hustle and bustle of a metropolis and the quiet charm and cleanliness of a classic American town. On our recent trip, when we sobered up enough to venture out in daylight we managed to snap a few pics of random Chicago sights. The thing I liked the most about Chicago is that everywhere you look there is something unexpected, such as a pirate ship, gargantuan public art sculpture, or (gasp) tree. The main difference here is that in New York the unexpected thing you often see is a homeless person urinating on your shoe. Finding random hints of beauty in The Windy City is one of the reasons we loved Chicago so much, and the main reason we would return.
