Give me a reason to eat cookies on the reg, and I’ll be content for a good couple of months. Open my eyes to something better than Vitamin Water and arm me with an array of potato chip alternatives, and I will frolic through the city living a happy, healthy lifestyle. If you feel me on this, read on.

Cookies don’t have to be an occasional thing. Life without a high dose of cookies is like Lady Gaga wearing jeans and a cardigan – tragic and boring. For me, Hannah Max Cookie Chips are the antidote. They’re exactly what they sound like – a cookie/chip hybrid – and have zero trans fats or preservatives, which obviously means that they’re an essential component to each and every balanced meal. Are you more the domestic princess type? Try using apple sauce instead of sugar, bananas or mashed avocado instead of butter, or greek yogurt en lieu of oil.

If you need actual potato chips, I have a few must-try alternative recipes for you. Your body and your spring/summer 2013 wardrobe will be grateful. You can start with the old go-to kale chip recipe here, crispy zucchini chips here, yummy and slightly sweet beet chips here, or go big with mixed vegetable chips here.

Who doesn’t love a good Vitamin Water every now and then? Or every day? Don’t get a craving yet, though, because studies show that some vitamins lose potency after sitting in water, so it’s like, what’s the point? That’s why ACTIVATE Water was invented. It has this magical twist cap (really fun to use – sort of makes drinking it the highlight of your day) that releases fresh vitamins into the water when you’re ready to drink it. So cool, so healthy, it almost makes me want to go for a run or something.

Emily is a New Yorker trapped in a Floridian's body and loves every minute of her big city life. With a major in international business and years of being surrounded by ill-fitting suits and all the wrong shoes, she learned that the importance of fashion needs to be communicated to the world.
