I’ve always admired Rihanna’s unique sense of style when it came to her fashionable ensembles and outrageous performance outfits, but now I commend her even more..

Not only was she seen sporting leopard print in the most stylish manner but she was also in Dublin, Ireland when this photo was taken. Need I remind you of my slight obsession with virtually anything leopard printed as well as inform you of the fact my family hails from the country of Ireland? Safe to say, Rihanna, I am now in love with you.

Can anyone really do the Moonwalk like Michael Jackson?! No. But Rihanna (and others) will never stop trying to steal his steeze.

The latest celeb to try the Moonwalk  and failed miserably was Rihanna at one of her concerts. Instead of  gliding seamlessly  across the stage, she looked more like she was tip toeing backwards very slowly. An epic fail, that should not be attempted again. Last night, instead of my Monday post-work tradition (jazz cigarettes and Gossip Girl), I took a walk up to Chelsea to rub elbows with fashion royalty (and the people who write about it).  If you’re not in the know, renowned stylist Lori Goldstein has worked behind the scenes for the last 20 years creating unforgettable looks for the likes of Madonna, Demi Moore, and some chick named Rihanna. You might have heard of them.

It’s likely that if you’ve ever walked by a newsstand, you’re already familiar with Lori’s work. Her creations have graced more glossy covers than a Tiger Woods sex scandal. And since Lori is totally bitchin’ (okay, I didn’t know how rad she is until last night, but roll with me), she invited myself and 19 of New York’s Finest (bloggers, not firemen. Although that would’ve been cool, too) over to her unbelievably swank pad to preview LOGO, the line she created exclusively for QVC.

Lori asked each of us to bring in a vintage piece from our closets that we do not wear/despise so that she could restyle it using her own good sense and pieces from the LOGO collection. Designing a line where each piece falls under $100 couldn’t have been easy for someone who’s used to styling on Vogue’s budget, so I knew right away this woman was up for a challenge. That’s why I reached into the depths of my closet for the most godawful item I could find.

Would I lie to you guys? That dress is uglier than sin.

Right away, she chopped off the frills and flipped the dress inside out to reveal a taupe grey slip. After I tried the dress on, she used her scissors to create a jagged hem that allowed the floral pattern to peak through. She added a LOGO sweater to complete the look, and just like that! I was a new woman with a new dress.

As each of us handed our wares over to Lori, she truly illustrated what makes her an in-demand stylist. Never once did she compromise anyone’s personal style. If something needed slight adjusting, that’s all she did and no more. If a piece of clothing called for a drastic overhaul, she wasn’t afraid to do that either. She gave us sage advice like, “wear clothes comfortable enough to sleep in” and told us there are no rules when it comes to fashion. One word: LIBERATING. No matter what your personal style is, we can all agree that battling with our mirrors and closets each morning seems inferior to just having fun with it. Sometimes you just have to hear it from someone who knows what the fuck they’re doing.

To say I was impressed with Lori and LOGO would be an understatement. I mean, mydress went from Golden Girl on deathbed (too soon?) to ready-to-wear Williamsburg chic. And I was ready. So I did go home to Williamsburg. And had some drinks. And true to Lori’s philosophy, I slept in my clothes.

Dear Rihanna,

Basically, I think you’re awesome.  It takes some mega balls to rock your hair, and I appreciate all your wild shoulder pads.  This performance gear, however, leaves me wondering if someone just wrapped you in electrical tape.  Also, I’m pretty sure we all officially know that you have ZERO crotch hair now.  We were all wondering, so I’m glad you cleared that up.

Chris Brown pisses me off.  There, I said it.  The guy goes around beating his woman and getting tons of press for it, and at the end of the day has a crummy 5 year probation sentence.  It’s just not right.  Chris Brown will be out and about, making music and dancing around the free world while heroes of the music world like T.I. are forced to sit in a jail cell.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but T.I. is a good dude, a family man of sorts, and is full of good music.  Chris Brown has performed a few mostly-crappy songs about getting it on, love lost and found, etc.  T.I. has the vision to write songs about the value of money, and is a freakin’ genius when it comes to naming children.

I wish Chris would wipe that silly grin off his face…

Let’s take a look at the facts.

Here’s what sh*tbomb Chris Brown has produced:

• double platinum recordings
• a waste of media time and effort
• injuries all over Rihanna

Here’s what T.I. has produced:

• Kids with names including Messiah Ya’Majesty, Domani Uriah, Clifford, Major Philant, Zonnique, and Deyjah.
• Starred in the critically acclaimed movie ATL
• multi-platinum albums
• Starred in his own reality TV show
• Has delightful lyrics
• Makes me want to dance
• Is a dapper dresser
• Doesn’t beat women

So, I’m left with no choice but to go to law school.  SOMEONE out there needs to put assholes like Chris Brown away for several year sentences, and let geniuses like T.I. back into the real world.  A good friend of mine, who chose to remain unnamed, is a lawyer at a well-respected firm in NYC.  I asked him his thoughts on Chris Brown and T.I., and he responded, “It’s a fucking atrocity.  The good news is that Rihanna can now be mine, the bad news is that T.I. is still locked up and so even if I take Rihanna home tonight, I won’t be able to do her on my bed to some hot new T.I. jam.”

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good MJ song as much as the next person and sure its sad when anyone passes away, no matter what mistakes they made..but the coverage has just been nuts. Instead of relating to you all every detail of Michael Jackson’s memorial service/concert, I will focus on something I know a bit more about..fashion. So MJ was a musician, and entertainer of course, but he was also very daring and flashy with his dress..and anyone that is willing to take chances will, at some point, hit a good note and set a new trend. MJ was no exception. We’ve see so many celebs be influenced by Michael Jackson’s iconic looks and you can bet that those occurrences will only increase with his death. I can’t help but wonder what Michael will be buried in..is that morbid? probably, but I’m still curious..sparkly glove on the right hand perhaps? Anyway, of course when you think Michael Jackson style you probably do think of the one glove. So where have we seen this influence? Beyonce..duh! After showing her metal-gloved hand off in the famous Single Ladies music video she wore this number to the World Music Awards

So besides the glove, if you were to dress as Michael Jackson for Halloween(which I guarantee will be top 10 costume this year) what else would be a must have? That’s right, a fedora. That black fedora was a staple of Michael’s wardrobe,and many celebs have copied the look, including Mr. P Diddy

Then comes the military jacket..or marching band outfit..however you want to think about it, michael was known for it. And tons of celebs from Beyonce to Rihanna have taken up the King of Pop’s look.

No matter what your opinion of Michael, you can’t deny that he has had an influence on the fashion world. You know when Versace outfits your entire family with custom clothes for your funeral that you were pretty appreciated in the industry, I wouldnt be surprised to see a clothing line come out headed by Janet or Jermaine of all Michael inspired looks pretty soon..we shall see!

Rihanna is over Chris Brown, but apparently bad taste is perpetual.  She’s been seen out with Aubrey “Drake” Graham, the canadian rapper and black Backstreet Boy.

New Yorkers, take notice, we spotted them at Lucky Strike AND had word from a good source that they were out at a West Side strip joint till the wee hours.  Apparently Rihanna and her lil’ man like some boob action.

Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt were spotted at Perez Hilton’s 31st Birthday Bash this past weekend in Hollywood. Paris donned a LBD, while Doug sported a…cold sore?

I’m surprised this rumor hadn’t begun circulating sooner.

Apparently, the on-again-off-again couple have a sex tape! According to sources, the couple is off right now, and Rihanna has been seen out partying sans her man and she is worried that Brown will release the tape out of anger. Her close friends that Rihanna is very comfortable with her sexuality, but would be absolutely mortified if her family saw this tape. (DUH!)

I’m not really sure why celebrities think their sex tapes will never leak to the public…
