Practical Holiday Gifts

Written by Ashley

For the holidays this year…with the net worth of the global wallet becoming less and less robust…how ’bout some practical holiday gifts this year?  The following gift ideas will NEVER be stuffed in the back of a closet next to last year’s UGGS.

Know a coffee drinker?

Starbucks– sells their gift cards at every location! or online here, to be used for coffee & merchandise online or in-store.

Know a spin-class freak?

New York Sports Club, which is only one of the many, sports clubs owned by TSI, offers gift cards and personal training packages– all for gifting! Visit your local  gym or click here for more details. Equinox?  Click here for their straight up- to the point- dollar amount gift cards, which can be used to pay  future monthly payments and everything else that Equinox has to offer.

Know someone with a cell phone?  ( or ‘little bundle of joy’ as I like to call mine)

Wireless Carriers- (click here for Verizon) sell gift cards that customers can use in order to pay their phone bill, cash in on the hottest new phone, or purchase accessories at Verizon locations over the phone or online.  As far as I hear…not many store locations carry the gift cards..but call your local store or shop online for gift cards from your carrier.   ALERT to anyone reading this…i could use a couple (as many as you can fit) in my stocking this year!!

Lastly…wake up and smell the recession people….we ALL know someone who likes straight-up, no-kidding, real-as-gold CASH….

American Express ,  Visa , and MasterCard ALL offer GIFT CARDS.  They can be used basically like a regular card– without the fees and identity theft and pesky bills and such.

Congratulations on giving the best presents EVER this year!
