We’ve all been to those high end department stores, staring at the $800 shoes, just wishing we could buy ourselves a pair. Louboutins are a status symbol; when you’re walking down the streets of 5th avenue and spot those cherry-red bottoms, you know you’re seeing a coveted pair of Christian Louboutins. Now, we can take the $800 shoe and replicate the infamous red-soles on our fingertips.
What You’ll Need:
1 red nail polish (I love OPI’s “Cha-Ching Cherry”)
1 black nail polish (Essie’s “licorice”)
1 high gloss top coat (Seche Vite Top Coat)
Step One:
Make sure your nails are grown past your fingertips. Paint a thin coat of your red lacquer of choice on the underside of your nails. Apply two coats and then clean the edges with a Q-Tip and nail polish remover.
Step Two:
Paint your nails an opaque black, like you normally would. Follow up with a high-shine top coat to give your nails that ultra glossy effect.
Now, you have a chic manicure that makes your nails high-fashion.
