Just when you thought toddlers and tiaras was out of control, think again.
You know how Americans can tend to be materialistic and vein- well I think it’s safe to say we have been outdone my friends. Hungary decided to kick up their beauty pageants a notch. I bring you, the “Miss Plastic” competition. Because after all, who says plastic can’t be beautiful?

Contestants get up on stage and show off their work a little bit of botox here and there doesn’t count. You need to have some legitimate work done to yourself- I’m talking breast implants, face lifts, and even nose jobs. One contestant literally walked in with surgically adjusted toes. And it’s not about size in this competition, it’s all about how the work has been done to improve the contestant. While plastic surgery has gotten a bad rep in Hungary “mostly to do with its exaggerations.” it has also been on the rise recently despite the recession. Guess people want a little pick me up- or in the case of some women- a little PERK me up.
Prizes include apartments, brand new cars, and a large amount of jewelry. Don’t worry, the doctors get thrown a few prizes too. After all, they did do all the work.
