My Fashion Week Cures (because I’m already exhausted)

Written by Bryce

Fashion Week relief… just in time.

Fashion Week in NYC has only just begun and I’m already worn out. I started the first day of Fashion Week at the Rockport event at Dylan’s Candy Bar and ended at some obscure palm tree-ridden deck in some unidentifiable downtown neighborhood. The candy bar event was perfect in every way except one (well actually the imperfection made it so much better)- I ate piles and piles of candy. I could feel my insides buckling and all sorts of free radical damage happening on some ultra fast Autobahn-speed. The night only got more wild from there, and it became crystal clear to me by 11 PM that I was in desperate need of an emergency kit. By day 2 I was bright enough to pack myself a little baggie of essentials:

1. Excellence De L’Age Neck and Decollete Concentrate. Aside from moisturizing your neck and fab cleavage, this cream is somehow rich and light simultaneously and can be used as a nutrient-rich face cream in a pinch. The smell is light, and the velvety texture wears well under makeup.

2. Korres Illuminating Powder. This one-stop-shop powder will highlight your cheek bones, brows, and add a little brightness to your bare shoulders. I use a light sweeping over my existing eyeshadow to perk it up at the end of the day, and on the inside corners of my eyes to create a “hey you can’t even tell that I haven’t slept well in over a week” effect. A total must-have.

3. Sprayology Stress Relief. Let’s face it, Fashion Week is 100% chaos for like 9 straight days (I’m not sure who decided it should be called “week” because it goes on forever). Between the lack of sleep, being herded into shows like cattle, catching up on work, and rushing home to spend time with my son… yeesh, I’m stressed. I love Sprayology’s little spray bottle of homeopathic stress relief. A couple of spritzes under my tongue = quick relief without all the gross chemicals more commonly found in drugstore remedies.
