Jack White’s new video at Freedom at 21 has us talking. I guess the only accurate way to describe this video is that it is: part porno, part old video game, part rap, and part classic Rock & Roll music video.
Basically Jack is an outlaw on the run in a electric yellow hotrod, being chased dow by oddly voluptuous police officers. Then he randomly bursts into guitar solos while wearing 10lbs of rings. As per Williams’s style, the camera ticks and editing are stylized and great, and the coloring is remarkable.
Towards the end gets stopped and frisked by a sexy traffic cop, then hauled off to jail, where a scantily clad inmate starts to grind on the him. Thankfully, White gets some alone time in the slammer, where he proceeds to sing in front of a wall like an old school rap video. Before long, White breaks free — along with his jailbird vixen — and a high-speed car chase ensues.
