Music Spotting: Florence Welch & Dev Hynes

Written by Casey

The British sensation Florence Welch sings with London Rocker Dev Hynes

We all know the lovely Florence Welch, from Florence and the Machine. But not many of you know Dev Hynes. In addition to being a successful solo artist under the name Blood Orange, he is an all around amazing guitar player and men’s style icon.(Think George Peppard in Breakfast at Tiffany’s meets British street style) Recently Dev and Florence have been collaborating live on stage.

Currently, Hynes has been DJ’ing around New York City with close pal Alexa Chung. In the past he has worked with Solange Knowles, Theophilus London, and Florence and the Machine, as both a producer and writer.

In his latest venture, Hynes has teamed up with Florence and the Machine’s golden voice, Florence Welch, for a duet and complete recreation of her recently popular “Never Let Me Go.” For the first time ever, Dev Hynes sings and is able to keep up with Welch’s beautiful soulful sound.

Listen to their new collaboration here.
