Mattress Costs $33k, Customers Lose Sleep Over Dumb Purchase

Written by Bryce

$33k for a mattress makes you forget about the crappy economy. Or does it?

E.S. Kluft & Co.’s hand-tufted, king-size Palais Royale mattress and box spring currently retails for $33,000- making it the priciest American-made mattress for sale. Cashmere, silk, mohair, and New Zealand wool go into the making of each one of these mattresses for people with air between their ears. According to sources at the company, they’ve sold about 100 of them since 2009. If I’ve learned one thing from this, it’s that I need to leave my career in media to start stitching mattresses together.

PS-Just a thought, but if money is no object, why not sink 10k into a great mattress and 5k on a few sets of beautiful silk linens? #peoplearedumb
