Travel Spotting: Sand Castle Hotel in Dorset UK

Written by Tanner

Forget beach views and sleep ON the beach!

Ice hotels are fun for the winter, but now that it’s starting to warm up, it’s better to stay in a room that won’t melt. What better way to get in the mood for summer than to stay in a hotel made from sand?! The world’s first sand castle hotel is located in Dorset in the UK, made from about 1000 tons of sand, built over 158qm, and reaching a height of 4 meters. King of the castle Mark Anderson, an established British sculptor, was commissioned by laterooms.com to design one of the cheapest beach side hotels on the market: guests can stay at the hotel for only $21 a night to enjoy sleeping on a sand bed, bask in the sun, and listen to the relaxing sound of the tide breaking in the surf!
