Festival Chic 2014: Leggy and Low

Written by Bryce

Festival style is always about a careful combo of sexy and comfy, and this year we’re seeing a ton of leg with flats (as opposed to last year’s maxi skirts and heels). Here’s how to rock the look:

1. Start with a little (not black) dress. Opt for a rich color like green, magenta, or yellow– they’re happy, festival-worthy colors that make most skintones pop. Don’t be afraid to show a little (or a lot) of leg. This halter dress is available at Planet Blue and looks killer on most. Available here.

2. A fab flat. Showing a lot of leg basically demands flats. Too much leg + too much heel = sending the wrong message (a Real Housewives message, really). Opt for something trendy, cute, and comfy that’ll get you through the wildest of shows like these Tsubo shoes. The Eliah flats are literally everything and available at Zappos. If you haven’t heard, the “fashion Teva” is totally a thing right now, and it’s a trend your ankles will thank you for down the road.

3. Oh wait, get those bumps off your radar. You were probably thinking “show a lot of leg, but what about my bumps?” Unless you’re an 11 year old supermodel from Tajikstan, you likely battle cellulite. I mean, we’re all human here. Try Weleda’s cellulite solution to loosen those lipids and get your short-skirt action on. Each bottle is full of natural and organic solutions to this age old problem, so you’ll be feeling good about smoothing out. Available .
