Bollywood Did My Body Good

Written by Ashley

We all get bored of our workout routine.  Swim/Run/Yoga/Swim/Walk/Stretch/Run blah blah. I’m over it already.  While Bryce and I discussed our angst- we felt empowered to do something about it

Enter a Bollywood inspired workout class at CLAY Fitness here in NYC that Bryce and I decided to take part in.

Sarina Janin, the ultra sexy & simply too enthusiastic for her own good instructor, took us through the moves and made us feel almost as though I was learning about her heritage, her native dancing history, and how to get abs… all in one hour of sweat/spandex & Masala Bhangra®

In a nutshell, says the CLAY website, Sarina “combined influences from her Indian heritage with 14 years experience in the U.S. fitness industry to create an exotic and unique high-energy calorie-burning cultural dance experience, that will utilize all the muscles in your body. Traditional dhol beats set the tone for the warm up and breaking down the moves, and popular bhangra tracks are used for the bhangra jam – where you’ll be sure to get a full body workout!”

Bryce and I were obvious beginners– as we were pale white and sweating like whores in church. We had such a great time and learned some amazing moves– that we regularly break out in TheLuxurySpot.com offices to entertain our mates, while working our booties.  This full body work out got a TWO THUMBS UP from TheLuxurySpot.com

Sarina , and her Bollywood moves have given me a reason to keep my workout routine up and running- with a little Indian spice speckled in.
