I have never had a baby shower, because as many times as I have tried I am unable to get pregnant. Even if I could, 9 months of sobriety holds absolutely no appeal for me. I do, however have a few opinions on baby shower decor since most of these events tend to look like a 5th grade birthday party in a Reno, Nevada trailer park.
The people that designed the decor for this party opted to use the traditional pink (meaning they are either having a girl or a tranny)but they paired it with a neutral gray to tone down the tacky. They chose a theme “Pretty in Pink” and carried it throughout the decor in a subtle way on the signage, placards, and labels.
One important rule to remember when using color is to be flexible with the shade. Using different shades of pale pink creates a more dynamic design, whereas sticking to one shade will not only induce rectum-hemorrhaging stress migraines, but also end up looking two dimensional and boring.
