Just What the Dr. Ordered: Vitamin C

Written by Bryce

With the weather so cold, and the days so short, you could probably use a beauty pick-me-up.

This season I’m absolutely IN LOVE with working vitamin C into not only my diet, but my beauty routine as well.  I love really strong, medicinal products (hey, if you’re gonna do it, do it!), which you might recall from our MyChelle giveaway earlier this week.  MyChelle’s serum packs a whopping 17% ascorbic acid, which might be too intense for you if you have sensitive skin.  If you do, EnPointe’s Eclairci C Serum is a fantastic alternative.  It also uses high concentrations of ascorbic acid, but in this case only 15%… which is just perfect for anyone with skin that requires a little more TLC.

EnPointe’s serum was developed by Dr. Christine Rodgers to improve skin’s texture and firmness, as well as visibly smooth wrinkles and fine lines.  And believe me, high concentrations of Vitamin C really do have an effect that you can notice within 2 or 3 days of use.  When I was asked to try a sample for review, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product isn’t all hype and packaging: it’s a real medicinal product not tainted by the scent of rose oil and chemicals I can’t pronounce. A full ounce (which is more than you think), retails for $75 at empoweryourskin.com

If that’s too intense for you but you still love the idea of a little vitamin C love in your life, Lush’s Sunny Side Bubble Bars are sure to please. These glamorous bars turn your bath water into liquid gold. You’ll sink into the glowing white bubbles and revel in the sparkling gold water while inhaling blissful sweet orange, lemon and tangerine essential oils. $5.95 at Lush stores or at LushUSA.com
