I Got All Hot n Sweaty

Written by Bryce

I did.  Jukari, you kicked my ass.  If you’re not already familiar with Jukari, you should be.  Reebok created this incredible total body cardio workout with Cirque du Soleil moves, and it’s only available at Equinox on 19th and Broadway in NYC.  Kids, if you live in the city, hop on the subway from all corners of this island and trek over to the 19th/bway location.  This class was the perfect mix of cardio and stamina for men, and acrobatics and yoga-esque moves for women.  Naturally, while the class was going on, I hated it.  It was hard.  And it hurt.  But by today (the class was last night), I loved it.  I can feel it everywhere in my body.  My stomach feels strong and toned, my legs are tight with muscular pleasure, and my shoulders and back are decomposing from pain (in a good way, I think).

I was pretty excited to try this class, because I’ve had this fantasy of having the ability to do wild acrobatics since I was a child.  I’ll admit that the Jukari class won’t make you an instant acrobat, but it certainly did make me feel kind of wild to be spinning around the room whilst hanging from a bar.  And Reebok came out with a kickass accompanying wardrobe that certainly helped me get into the swing of things, no pun intended!

You can get the entire collection at Reebok.com.  The fun colors and semi-futuristic looks in the collection are fun even if you’re more of a treadmill and free weights or pilates and elliptical kinda gal.
