It was just two short years ago that Michael Vick, once one of the NFL’s highest paid players, was discovered in his backyard sitting in a sled whilst whipping pitbulls with a metal rod and yelling “MUSH! MUSH!”

Okay, that part didn’t happen, but Vick was released today from jail after being charged with torturing and killing dogs in his Smithfield, Va. backyard. Only two days before Vick was caught, he and his cohorts killed eight dogs that were under-performing. Interestingly enough, Vick’s biggest critic, PETA (who wants Vick to undergo a MRI brain scan), has been accused of killing thousands more. But hey, who’s counting?

Anyway, Vick is completing the last 2 months from his home, where he’ll wear an electronic monitoring device and won’t be able to do much of anything except go to work– off the field–with W.M. Jordan company, where he’ll earn a staggering $10-an-hour doing construction. OUCH. Those of you with jobs, reach around and give yourself a pat on the back, you are now out-earning someone who once signed a contract worth $130 million. Good luck negotiating that multi-million dollar contract with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, buddy.
