When you think about it, we spend dolla dolla bills like we’re all money-slinging rappers whenever we go to the drugstore to buy makeup remover wipes. They are way expensive! Imagine all the wondrous shoes you could have purchased with your makeup remover expenditures, had you only known of this ingenious DIY project sooner. Not only will you save money, but now you’ll know exactly what ingredients you’re putting on your face!
You’ll need:
2 containers
1 roll of select-a-size paper towels
4 cups water
1 T of coconut oil (found in a health foods or vitamin store)
1 squirt of all natural face wash or cleansing wash
Use a large, sharp, non-serrated knife and cut your paper towel roll in half, brushing off the fuzz at the end.
For each container, you will need 2 cups of distilled or purified water.
Warm up a tablespoon or 2 of coconut oil (take the amount youāre using, put it in a saucepan with a bit of your water and heat it just warm enough to melt). Once melted, pour the mixture into your water and stir.
Add 1 pump all natural face wash or cleanser.
Pour your mixture evenly into the containers, about 2 cups per container.
Place the paper towel rolls (cut side down) into the container and solution.
Seal the lid (it may be a tight fit), turn containers upside down, and let sit for 5 minutes.
Remove lid, and take out the cardboard paper towel tube in the center. All done! Homemade makeup wipes complete š
P.S. The coconut oil is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal. It’s the perfect moisturizer and smells amazing.
