Orange and gray are tricky colors to implement in a color scheme, but if done properly they can create a bold, dramatic look that is totally unexpected. The trick to using these colors in your decor all comes down to the hue. If you use a bright orange and a dark gray, you interior is going to look like the asshole of a jack-o-lantern. Try paring a dark charcoal gray with a light apricot orange, or a dark, burnt orange with a pale, smoky gray. This disparity in the shade of color will create a chic, effortless look with a dramatic impact. In order to do this properly, concentrate on the neutral shades of gray and use the orange sparingly as an accent.
