Decor Spotting: Create a Relaxation Nook

When I was a kid I always hid in closets. Yes, I do see the irony in this, and yes, even my mother has commented on it. I love the idea of hidden little spaces though, and if we were still living in the 1800’s I would probably spend most of my time in hidden slaves quarters and nooks.

If you have the extra space (which I don’t without sacrificing about 4 feet of shoes) you should take the time to turn a closet into a little relaxation/storage nook. Nooks can be a great place to curl up with a good book or take a cat nap. Also, the word “nook” is fun to say.

Imagine bringing a guy home and telling him to “Join you in your nook.” I guarantee its a one-night-stand he won’t soon forget.
