Cooking With All Things Trader Joe’s!

Written by Maura

Trader Joe’s might as well be the Holy Land as far as TheLuxurySpot is concerned. We go nuts for Trader Joe’s here. So when we found out about Cooking With All Things Trader Joe’s by Deana Gunn and Wona Miniati, it was like someone teaching us a new way to Mecca. I got this amazing cookbook for my mother, because although I love to cook, momma’s always got that special touch. Of course, being the good cookbook fiend she is she got right to work, whipping up some delish dishes from Deana and Wona’s vault of recipes. Our faves are the Asian Dumpling Soup (which I literally could eat for every meal of every day), the Pasta a la Checca(my Italian mother was alllll about this one) and the Life Is a Bowl of Cherries, Pine Nuts and Spinach Salad(a fun twist on what could be a boring ole salad.) The great thing about this cookbook is that every recipe provides a picture along with it and also a recommended wine pairing. It’s like when you go out to an Applebees or one of those chain restaurants and on the menu there are pictures of a few of the choices..I dont know about you but I am ten times more likely to order the one that is pictured than the one that is fancifully described. It translates to you really wanting to cook everything in this fab little cookbook, so you are totally getting your moneys worth.

The next one up on my list to try is the Black Bean Soup..looks delicious and since I love Mexican flavors I’m sure it will be a winner..I can’t wait!
