Blogger Spotting: Amber Katz dishes on winter beauty

We asked one of our favorite beauty bloggers, Amber Katz, to come down to TheLuxurySpot offices to dish on all her favorite beauty musts for winter. The founder of beautybloggingjunkie.com would know best, right?

TLS: From a beauty perspective, is there anything you love about the cold weather of winter?

Amber: I love that it makes wearing bold lip shades seem festive and not clownlike (as it can look in the wilting weather of summer). I also love being able to use copious amounts of glitter from my eyes to my nails in the name of the holiday spirit.

TLS: What is the one product you simply cannot live without when the mercury drops?

Amber: A sexy winter fragrance with a warm overtones like Prada Candy, Dior Hypnotic Poison or Narciso Rodriguez For Her. All three are the olfactory equivalent of a fur coat–incredibly luxe, warm and chic–but nauseating in weather above 40 degrees.

TLS: If you had to make 2 easy suggestions to all the women braving the cold weather, what would they be?
Amber: Switch your moisturizer–I use a creamier, heavier one in the winter like Chanel Sublimage. And investing in even an inexpensive body wash that hydrates like Dove Winter Care Body Wash will keep your skin in great condition, even if you’re lazy and forget to apply body lotion.
