At Home Spa Session

Written by Corinne

After a long brisk day filled with never ending rain and gusting wind, I decided to kick off my shoes, relax, and pamper myself. I put on a pot of tea, lit a Laura Tonatto candle, and selected my Goo Goo Dolls playlist to give the room a perfect atmosphere for unwinding. I changed into a comfortable pair of sweats and put on a collagen face pad by Elizabeth Grant. The combination of all these turned my apartment into THE ultimate relaxation zone, my roommates could not be thanking me more.  I basically turned our apartment in to a SPA.

First, in the kitchen, it was tea time. When I was pouring myself a cup I decided on Village Tea Company’s Classic Organic White Tea. The sweet creamy flavor and warmth of the tea could not have been more appreciated on such a cold dreary day. I ended up making more for my roommates too, and they loved it!  The Village Tea Co. suggested the recommended 3 minute steeping time to practice deep breathing & take in the aroma of the sweet & light tea. It immediately relaxed me, I was able to clear my mind and continue on my at-home spa quest.

Throughout the whole apartment, it came down to two things. Aroma & Lighting.  Have you ever been to a spa with flourescent lighting that smelled like a deli? I have – and I ain’t goin’ back.  To get the ultimate spa effect, I lit a Laura Tonatto’s Dama scented candle. Almost immediately, the light and fresh scent with a lightly floral hint and gave the room an overall cozy feel. A great candle scent for your bedroom, in addition to the rest of your apartment.

To get the spa session in to effect…I decided on a little facial without the fuss of applying creams and lotions.  The Elizabeth Grant collagen face pad was the perfect alternative to a messy mask. Just leave on for half an hour as you lounge.  Upon removing a half an hour later, my face felt both smooth and moisturized , which it desperately needed after being out in this stormy weather. A definite must have, especially for the winter months.collagen

I have to say, these are all the necessities needed for anytime you either want some time to relax by yourself or include some girlfriends and have a fabulous night in.
