Art Spotting: The Ethereal art of Audrey Kawasaki

In the past few years there has been a real push for graphic art on organic materials. Recently, people have been finding all sorts of interesting mediums with with to create art. Some of the most beautiful art I have seen has been printed or painted onto wood. Wood itself has a natural grain and texture which lends itself well to all kinds of paint. Audrey Kawasaki paints delicate feminine images onto wood using oil. There is something a little melancholic about the vintage-style pieces, tinged with both innocence and eroticism. I know that sounds contradictory, but see for yourself.
