Art Spotting: Matthew Cox’s Embroidered X-Rays

Everyone from David Bowie, to Miss Piggy have reaped the benefits of being immortalized atop one of Philly based artist Matthew Cox‘s embroidered x-rays. Reminds me of another array of needlepoint heaven.

”Stitching has a nurturing aspect,” Cox has said of his work, “and acts as care giving or healing to the injured, a socially feminine sort of action, while the X-ray itself can be considered masculine and unemotional.”
