Art Crave: Knitty-Gritty Editorial

Written by Ashley

What happens when you sew over an Yves Saint Laurent ad? Art.

Have you ever seen a Vogue Magazine quite like this? Pop art, sure. graffiti’d & mustached in the form of ‘art’, of course!  But made out of yarn & knitting needles, I had yet to witness until artist  Inge Jacobsen worked it out. The attention to detail on these Vogue & Harper’s Baazar covers & sewing over classic editorial advertisements with pornographic figures blurs the already blurred line of sex & fashion.
