Celebrate Fashion’s Night Out with Kate Earl at Eryn Brinié!

By Lisa • Aug 31st, 2009 • Category: FASHION

It’s always nice to hear a story of local girl does good…which is one of the reasons I was so excited to hear that Kate Earl will be performing songs from her debut album at Eryn Brinié in SoHo on September 10 — Fashion’s Night Out! – at 7:00 PM.

(For the record, Earl is from Chugiak, Alaska…and my family lived in Fairbanks for many years…)

Fashion’s Night Out is touted as the one night retailers keep their doors open until 11:00 and, according to the official Web site, “implement creative customer experiences welcoming all.” Over 700 retailers and designers are slated to participate.

The Web site also says Earl is a perfect fit for Eryn Brinié because she “represents the artistic, expressive young women to whom the brand speaks — those with a visionary, curious spirit and nonconformist attitude.”

Earl allegedly save up for a plane ticket and a guitar while working at her parents’ gas station. From Chugiak, she eventually found herself performing on the streets of Los Angeles. And she recently had her biggest coup yet – not only did her debut album Kate Earl become available on August 18, but iTunes also featured her hit, “Melody” as its Single of the Week.

So. Get yourself down to Eryn Brinié a week from Thursday to see what all the fuss is about. And while you’re there, you can, you know, shop. Online buzz says Eryn Brinié is Korea’s answer to Topshop or H&M with soft, feminine clothes that are friendlier to your pocketbook than similar boutiques.

What’s more, according to the Fashion’s Night Out Web site, Eryn Brinié also hosted an open call in August for creative students in New York City to submit designs for its window display using official Fashion’s Night Out T-shirts…and it will ultimately select one student to design its window for this evening.

And — P.S. — you can also buy the official Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt (available in both short and long sleeves for $30 to $35) at Eryn Brinié…and 40% of the proceeds will go to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center.
